"The market is short of good quality kinaesthetic/visual resources at this level and Sentifix is a good way of filling that gap" - Liz Broadbent, Deputy Head and Literacy Manager, Balkesbury Infant School, Andover

"Sentifix components what a great mix! Colour coding cubes were great for visual learners, cards bright and colourul, and the book were clearly laid out. Aspects which worked well were the colour codes, and the key showing how they were matched to the children's cards was clearly laid out. We also liked the game which was similar to the sentence cubes resource, but extended to include colourful cards and a game. In addition, Sentifix provided a clear, visual way to change sentences into questions. Overall, we found Sentifix both attractive and inviting. It was good value for money, and the children thought the box and cards were exciting and wanted to use them."
Heather Whibley, Lickfield SPLD Centre, Purcell Avenue, Lickfield, Staffs

The children do not need a vast amount of support to use this resource as they picked up the idea very quickly and the colour-coded bricks were helpful for this...I think the resource is innovative in terms of its layout of story cards and connectable bricks. The chidren have enjoyed using it and it has encouraged them to get involved with reading and building sentences."
kirsty Eddleston, Literacy Manager, Vigo Junior School, Andover, Hants

"Sentifix could have a really positive effect on some children, as it enables them to enjoy activities such as learning grammar which can sometimes be dull. In particular, we liked the seaside theme as this is a good medium for kids. We are going to use it mainly with special needs becuse we feel it creates the biggest impact when supported by an adult during use."
Dave Coombs, Headteacher, Balksbury Junior School, Andover

"Sentifix is colourful and attractive to learners, and the pupils enjoyed achieving positive results. It is very well presented, and reasonably priced bearing in mind the many ways it could be effective in the children's learning. It would be a valuabe resource to any primary learning environment, and is adaptable to a wide variety of children. In short, Sentifix is an asset to any classroom teacher."
Lynn Carter, SENCo Assistant, Sharpness Primary School, Berkley, Gloucestershire

Gill Matthews & Sentifix

"[Sentifix] is a lovely activity for group work with plenty of scope to adapt according to ages and abilities of children. Great to increase speech and grammatical awareness and there's lots happening on each of the cards to stimulate children's ideas." Sally Brain, Class Teacher, Weston-under-Penyard Primary School, Herefordshire

"Overall, Sentifix is lovely and colourful, and the children liked handling and looking at the bricks as well as reading the words. The pictures are a nice quality: bright and simple. We also liked the way that the large pictures were multi-racial...The activity is a nice finishing activity - the children, once instructed, could easily do this independently. They also loved making silly sentences - thereby nurturing creative skills, rather than making ridged sentences."
Laura Webb, Year 1 Class Teacher, Henry Cavendish School, Balham, London

"Sentifix is what sentence level work has been waiting for. It's easy to use, colourful with a purpose and essential for the kinaesthetic learners."
Marian Ferraby, Literacy Subject Leader, Grange Infant School, Gloucester
