Sentifix Logo

As fully literate adults, it is hard for us to imagine how daunting it is for young children to compose meaningful, grammatically accurate sentences. One minute they're building simple words during phonics sessions and suddenly we're asking them to string these words together in the right order!

Obviously, sentence construction can be quite a leap - it's
like asking an adult to drive from John O' Groats to Land's
End after just a couple of driving lessons!
Sentifx cubes

This simple system of colour-coded interlocking bricks with pre-printed words offers a hands-on alternative for the junior sentence constructors in your classroom, even those who aren't entirely happy with committing pen to paper. Using a carefully selected group of words chosen by literacy
specialist Gill Matthews, your pupils can tackle various sentence level skills.

Like Phonix the Sentifix range also lends itself to a number
of investigative and interactive activities which contribute effectively to the active approach to the teaching of
sentence level work promoted by Grammar for Writing.

Sentifix is a brand new
series of themed packs featuring interlocking, colour-coded word bricks and
stimulus materials. Each pack is centred around a context that is familiar to pupils at
KS1. And offers them an opportunity to experiment
with sentence construction while exploring a theme.
